A solid Christmas read, which I enjoyed more towards the second half when I'd warmed up to the characters more as the plot progressed.

I’ll start my review by saying Karen Swan where have you been all of my life!!! I absolutely adored this book, and it most certainly won’t be my last by this author, that’s for sure. 

This is a big book (480 pages) compared to what I normally read and I’ll be honest it was a bit daunting, but S soon as I’d read a few pages I was fully invested in the story and I couldn’t put it down. 

This was one heck of a rollercoaster ride of a book. Set in three different locations on two timelines with paragraphs from two points of view, all things which I love in a book. 

This story has the right amount of romance, friendship, love, heartbreak and suspense. The suspense was such an added bonus for me as I wasn’t expecting it at all. 

Karen had clearly done her research about trekking up the various mountains in Nepal which featured in the story. The attention to detail is astounding. I really liked Natasha she was a strong, likeable and well written female lead. 

I expected due to the name and cover it would be a lot more festive and it didn’t really reference Christmas. So I’d say it can definitely be read at any time of the year.

I picked this book up on a whim... solely because I thought the cover was pretty haha. Not my usual genre at all, I'm mostly thrillers and crime novels... however, I was pleasantly surprised by this book! 
Wasn't sure when I first started reading it and briefly considered DNF-ing but it didn't take me long to get sucked right in and I flew through the last half wanting to know how it ended! I teared up and laughed, twists I saw coming... one I should've seen but didn't... all in all a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Well, Karen has done it again. Another winner. Wow. A story full of love and hope and wow, the truths that come out….

I would consider it a happy story with a hard middle. I love all the flashbacks to different times, as is the case in a lot of her books, and to have the dual storyline from a female and male perspective was refreshing.

I honestly don’t now how else to describe my love for this story without spoiling anything. Travel along with Moola, Natasha, Duffy and their friends. Learn a bit about painting, mountaineering, and love that stands the test of time ❤️
