i loved reading this book! the characters were really well formulated, and conflicts were well structured and felt realistic. i loved how real all the fandom stuff felt. the writing style really drew me in and was beautiful, also the use of food as a love language was really great. so happy books like this exist and are exploring complicated themes with grace and sincerity.

It was okey, at times it was really good and I really connected to the story, but then there was slower moment that actually lasted quite long at it threw me off, cus I lost focus.

Overall cute and heartwarming coming of age story, sometimes the characters irritated me, predictable and comforting.

Thank you NetGalley for providing digital advanced copy in exchange for honest review.

The worst thing is that I've never been able to figure out whether this awareness of being set apart from others is something that I've internalized, so that I just feel like I'm unwelcome because of my long history of not belonging, or whether it's something that's really happening to me in the actual moment, that I really am being treated differently, in a way I can't articulate but can only feel, because life has made me uniquely sensitive to it. // "But it's not impossible to find your people. People who can understand you - they exist. And the right people - the right person - won't be putting up with you. They'll want you exactly as you are."

A great book about finding your own ways in discovering your identity and family. The representations were handled beautifully and I love the way it hits the spot about finding yourself through fandoms (as a lot of us can relate to). The writing felt a bit young to me as the characters are supposed to be going to college, there was a plot that felt creepy and invasive to me that could've been handled better, and too much info-dumpy/sudden plot change going on. Despite that, I do believe a lot of people will definitely see themselves in this book and that this book will definitely help a lot of teenagers at discovering themselves too.

Thank you to Little Tiger and Netgalley for the arc!

"I wonder if I would feel more comfortable in something else. If the girl I was before still lives inside me; if I can draw out the ghost of her and colour her in again."

Wow. This little book managed to contain so much comfort, love and as warm as beloved friend's hugs words I can't even count properly. Its a very simple story, about love to other people as much as live to your family, about understanding emotions and unraveling yourself from the mist of past. There isn't much happening, so if you're looking for action-packed YA novel you may feel disappointed.
But characters' creation is stunning, and the writing is something absolutely wonderful. I loved it with all my little heart.

A quick, fun, and sweet read. An incredible addition to the YA Contemporary Romance genre!
