I always love reading about what Kinsey eats for breakfast and her antics with her elderly and loveable neighbor, but this one was the worst I've ever read. The mystery was hard to believe and anticlimactic, and there were so many suspects that i didn't care who the killer was by the time of the big reveal. Glad I only checked it out of the library, instead of buying as I usually would with a Kinsey Millhone.

Best one!

Enjoyable mystery novel.

Loved this book!!!

I'm not sure why it's taken me to get around to reading anything by Sue Grafton, but I liked this well enough. Tainted, somewhat, by my vast experience reading Agatha Christie and all of her the-person-you'd-least-suspect, which made me suspect the kids which, in retrospect, was ridiculous.

I liked this one even with the different format, which fit the story. Maybe because I was on audio book or maybe I just missed it but I missed the motive of the guilty party at the end.

Reeeeeaaaly liked this one. I felt bad for Violet even though she was very manipulative with the people in her life. I was cheering on Liza when she finally stood up to Kathy. I was very invested in the characters in this one.
