I loved the concept of the book, two teenage strangers meet at the Bridge to jump off and commit suicide. There are four possible scenarios that could happen (either the boy jumps, the girl jumps, they both jump or none of them jump) and the book is split into four parts (sections A, B, C and D) to explore each possible scenario further.

I found the first two stories to be the strongest and most emotional for me. I was not as drawn to the third section as I’m not really a fan of significant time jumps in stories and I’m left to fill in the blanks. New characters were also introduced to this part but weren’t as developed as the third section was the shortest. It feels lazy to me even though I understand why the author wrote it that way.

I found the portrayal of the struggles of mental health here to be accurate and extremely relatable. I like books that explore these difficult topics and make it more accessible for others to read, especially teenagers who may be going through similar situations that there is still hope.

The concept of how one decision affects not just your own life but others as well was what I really enjoyed about this book. A thought provoking read for sure!

3.5 stars...this was a truthful and powerful story about depression and suicide in teens. It’s impact on its reader will stay with them for a long time. I really liked the idea of having four different scenarios told, and found each equally interesting. I hope that anyone feeling depressed will reach out and ask for help.
