A beautiful and original sci fi story
The universe this story exists in is inventive, beautiful, and absolutely unique. It takes place in two different settings and at two different times that are slowly converging on each other. One setting is solid filled with elaborately detailed structures. Most of the characters in this setting are working to restore beautiful but broken buildings. The other is fluid with a perpetually shifting landscape. Navigating this environment is as much an art as a science. Both settings provide excellent metaphors for the characters and the journeys they are on: beautiful but broken characters who are navigating their lives with a little bit of science and a lot of art. Absolutely amazing!
