I liked how the spaceships looked like giant fish. There is always something great about seeing young character grow into their own role and finding purpose in life. It should happen more often.

First graphic novel I read, took a little to get used to filling in the gaps in verbosity from the images. But it was a nice story.

Una graphic novel molto carina e dolce, che scorre che è un piacere con i suoi disegni meravigliosi. Bella la found family, bella la rappresentazione ("_When you chose not to respect us, we chose not to respect you. L'unico problema è che, essendo dolce e coccolosa per il 75% del tempo, i momenti di pure pericolo mi sembravano strani. Uccidere i personaggi sarebbe stata una mossa un po' troppo lontana dallo stile chill della storia, però il pericolo era grande e io rimanevo perplesso.
Poi vabbè, la storia nasce da una ragazza che vuole ritrovare la sua fidanzata di dieci anni fa, quindi un po' irrealistico, ma vorrei ricordare che stiamo parlando di lesbiche. Lesbiche spaziali.
Lo consiglierei? Sì. Sì Legge in un paio di giorni, ma lascia il cuore caldo.

I really liked the art style of this graphic novel, and the characters were all great - though there were times when it was a bit difficult to tell some of them apart (Alma & Ell especially). I think for me I was hoping for a bit more worldbuilding than we got, especially for a lengthy work. You're dropped into this world and rather than learning things along the way, you're just hit with more and more unexplained details. This is definitely more of a character study than a speculative work, so I think my expectations were just misplaced. For what it is, it's great. Just not exactly what I was looking for (or at least not enough of it - the main story definitely works).
Maybe 4.25? Quality graphic novel. I was immersed in the storyline and really liked the time jumps. I would have liked a little more back story on some of the characters, particularly Ell.
