I wasn't really sure what to expect from this after reading "Spinning", but this was great. I'm so glad that First Second doesn't shy away from hefty graphic novels, because the length of this gave the story and characters proper time to breathe. It's amazing and heartfelt and complex, and the kind of speculative and organic science fiction I can get behind.
