Paladin's Grace

T. Kingfisher

4.13 AVERAGE

I wanted to love this more—the idea of a paladin grieving a dead god is so cool, but the plot never really took off the way I hoped. It felt underdeveloped, like the story was more interested in vibes than stakes. That said, I appreciated the mature characters and their slow-burn connection. I think Kingfisher’s writing just isn’t quite my style.

One of the most charming books I've ever read.

This is the kind of *good* romance that seldom comes around : the plot is original, compelling and serves the character work as much as the characters serve it. The characters are original yet believable and hugely lovable. And, last, you will be able to tell by the end of page one that this is insanely well-written.

.25 stars off because the plot dragged a tiny bit towards the end, but that's it.
