If you enjoy suspense/thriller with that overall creepy undertone to it, then this is the book for you! However I was surprised at the emotional element to this book, as the characters are placed in such a hopeless and awful situation, you get to know them as they get to know each other, leading you to fall in love with them piece by piece. Their actions and morals and how they handle themselves in what can only be described as horrific circumstances peels back their layers and reveals two beautiful people that you are now desperately attached to, as they become just as attached to each other.
There are some twists and turns to this plot, some that I was able to figure out and some that came out of left field, with enough bread crumbs along the way to keep you hooked.
This was such a raw, mind bending, fascinating story that you will not be able to put down!

If they didn't have it I was gonna lose my shit.
Now this isn't something I would recommend to a dark romance junkie.
Don't get me wrong. This book is dark af full of gruesome torture and fully detailed scenes of physical and psychological torture.
But like it's not the type of "ROMANCE" one would expect.
No smut in this book y'all.
That's a big no no for me.

I would never forget the whole journey I went through while reading this book.
The plot didn't gave me rest for one freaking minute.
It keeps you engaged.
It's freaking thrilling.
And the kidnapper.

this book has one quality and that is that it’s more authentic than still beating, which, to be fair, is not that hard.
A mind blowing 5 ⭐️ read. Wow. This was so dark, and fucked up to the point it scared me at some points… but I couldn’t stop reading and I loved every second of it. This was so so good. It really reminded me of still beating and is close to being the same perfection that was (I just wish we got a moment of seeing Maeve and Ledger together! But I should just be grateful we even got a HEA for this book as I was scared for a hot sec we wouldn’t.) I love Maeve and Ledger so much and I’m truly amazed how they survived all that together. This was truly a psychological journey from start to finish.
