This was a wonderful journey back into my childhood. I’ve always loved the story of Peter Pan and I always wanted to be one of the lost boys traipsing around Neverland and having all these marvellous adventures.

Of course there are aspects of the book that show how dated it has become and there are certain parts of Wendy’s characterisation that made me cringe but there are other parts of it that show its age.

Very fun to listen to a full-cast dramatization of the story! I'd never listened to/read the book before and this was great. I particularly enjoyed Rupert Everett (I mean, how can you go wrong?).

The tale of Peter Pan is such a wonderful tale. I really enjoyed reading this book - especially because I've seen the movie, been in a musical about this book, but never actually read the book! The book is filled with symbols and surely can be related to.
Now Wendy was every inch a woman, though there were not many inches"

What I enjoyed the most, was these small details about the characters and the setting. They really made the book to what it is and gave the book volume.
This book should definitely be read at least once in a lifetime.

Such a beautiful and heartbreaking story. Brings back childhood memories, but now I discover so many hidden meanings and themes

This is just such a classic book, and it shows why this story has become such a classic.

It has great adventure and pirates. But, also that kids do grow up. And it’s ok.

Having read this in the current day and age… there’s a few places where this book isn’t politically correct is is blatantly pretty racist.

I enjoyed this classic well enough and I enjoyed the whimsy of it but can’t say I loved the experience of reading it. I found the plot during the time of Wendy and the boys being children meandering and scattered. As they grew up it was sad and really reminds you of the frailty of youth and how fast time goes by. I find I prefer the Disney version overall and find Peter Pan and his forgetfulness obnoxious although I understand why his character is the way he is. This won’t ever be a favorite for me but I enjoyed it for what it is.
