I loved Sugar right off the bat. I feel I could be friends with her easily and then seeing with her friends made me want to be part of that group. Zack surprised me in a good way. I could definitely relate to him with his daily struggle because I do myself. I loved the way Sugar makes Zack want to be a better man. They have a ton of chemistry and the sparks fly between the two. Then on the flip side they're cute together. They bring out a more relaxed, okay to be yourself side to each other that I found refreshing. Zack has a lot to work through, but he feels he can that with Sugar by his side too bad what they agreed to was to pretend. Can Zack convince Sugar she can count on him? Her past relationship with a popular guy didn't go so well and being with the king of hockey on campus brings out insecurities. This book was hard to put down because I really got invested in Zack and Sugar's story. It's one you don't want to pass up!

This was the second time I read this book and still enjoyed it!

Things I loved:
* The name sugar
* Fake Dating trope
* Sports romance
* Eric and Sugar's banter
* Z's anxiety and how it is portrayed
* Z and Sugar's chemistry

2.5 stars.

I was just okay, but I didn't really like either of the main characters.

SpoilerI thought it was kinda stupid that the whole premise was Sugar needed a fake hockey boyfriend, going so far as to stalk him before finally getting up the nerve to ask (after having sex with him), and then she tells people that he's just a friend.

Boyfriend Bargain

Beautiful story! Sugar and Z have my heart. Love that they got their host ending. ❤️ I recommend this book.

SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS BOOK!
Yes I was yelling that..sorry..but I get kinda excited.

Sugar and Z...oh man did I swoon. & kinda cried..but it was all good and worth it. I am honestly really hoping to hear about this couple some more..maybe through another couples book who we met through this book...*wink wink* *nudge nudge*

Well regardless if we don't, I am now going to go through Ms. Madden-Mills book list and get to reading her books. I've only read three of her books, both books in her Hook Up series and then Spider.

Guess who's going to be getting busy reading once this semester ends! This girl!! So excited!!

A sports romance story with more than just romance.

I loved the characters and how there was more to them than meets the eye.

This was a book that I couldn't put down and I will definitely read more of the books!

The title is not enticing and the pot is old, the fake bf. But somehow Ilsa knows how to turn that around.
I have only read one of ilsa's books before and it was one of my favorites books of last year. She is reallty talent. I really enjoy her storytelling and the romance and tension that builds up between the couple.
Never thought about sport romance as a thing to fill my needs but from IMM, I think I will probably read anything. She just makes it so real and relatable that you get absorbed in the plot.
