Loved it!

Kept me guessing

There were a lot of twists and turns to arrive at the truth and the story being told through this book, but it kept me guessing. I thought some of the book was overly graphic, but otherwise an interesting book.

This book left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I spent the whole book wondering how Arlene managed to pull off such a normal life in the present after she detailed out how weird she was in high school, only to find out why at the end and then wonder why EVERYONE in the family had to be creepy. I don't think we needed to be quite so misled throughout the entire book only to be set straight in the last few pages.

Southern family drama + murder mystery. Familiar but still unpredictable. I loved it!

Love this author. She has so many similar themes in her stories. She’s insanely relatable to me. Wonderful read.

Excellent! I enjoyed the short and the narrator. A somewhat quick/easy read and I found myself very fond of the main character pretty quickly. I'd recommend this to just about anyone, but you particularly enjoy it if you've spent any time living in the south.

What a page turner! This book was recommended to me by a friend who had gushed over it several months ago. I really liked so many aspects of this book: the interracial relationship and how it impacted the characters lives, at times how silly the book could be, but most of all I loved that I couldn't figure it out! I thought I had an idea but there was no way to see the truth coming! Great book!

This book was excellent! It was a true mystery and was told from end to beginning. The ending was really surprising also. I think that I read the whole thing in less than a week.

I don't know what it is about Joshilyn Jackson but I find her books so enjoyable. The families are flawed, the stories are sometimes tragic but they are great reads.

Just didn't enjoy this book.
