it was all around just ok. it was slow up until the last 30 pages. her breakups were awkward and stupid. the relationship with her father never changed. her collage aspirations didn’t change. the only good things that came out of this book was the relationship with her brother and her desire to travel beyond her small town roots. i was hoping at least one of the love interests was salvageable alas i was wrong. oh well you win some you lose some :(
Not my favorite Dessen, but Dessen is always one of my favorites.
Like many, after reading one, I couldn't stop reading Sarah Dessen's books. Her books are all based in the same town, and if you're paying attention, you can find lots of little crossovers and clues while reading. The Moon and More didn't have as many little Easter eggs, and while good, didn't live up to my expectations. The last few chapters of the book were better than the first 2/3 of it, and the most redeeming quality I think was the development of her relationship with Benji. As far as the character development and story resolution goes, I feel we missed out on quite a few characters and there were quite a few loose ends left untied. The book was good though, definitely would be worth a read if you're invested in Dessen's stories.

There didn't seem to be much of a plot to this book but the ending was good.

This was a fast-paced, easy read. I would have liked to see more of her relationship with her dad, but I enjoyed this overall.

i love getting inter-Colby action! I was so here for the casual references to previous characters, thanks Dessen. I think the characters is what made this one so strong- everyone was fleshed out and contributed to the story- flaws and all. I enjoyed the issues and subject matter, but I could've done without the love story. I thought theo was awful from page one and their forced fling was a snooze fest. the whole middle of the book lagged because of it. in the end, Luke and emalines evolution didnt need theo I think- we could've gotten to the same point without all that garbage. otherwise I loved it, Clyde's side story really resonated with me, Morris' too. good read, not dessens best.
