This book was cute and fun, and I really did enjoy the audio version of it. However, I feel like it fell a little flat in some areas. The MMC lacked a bit of depth and I feel like that made it hard to get fully invested in the romance. Considering I’m usually not a huge fan of the single parent trope, I actually really didn’t mind it in this book and I found the FMC really likeable (maybe part of that was the woman in trade rep which I always love to see). The side characters and relationships were also fun and I really wish we got to see more of that throughout the book.

Overall I had a good time reading this, laughed out loud at parts even, so I would recommend it if you’re looking for a cute, 90s romcom inspired story. I also think the audiobook is definitely the way to go for this one.

I was so utterly charmed by this book. Aiden and Lucie were adorable. He's afraid to be open to love, and she doesn't think she deserves love. Gah, these two, my heart can't take it! The premise was great, the execution even better. Loved the humor, and there was enough absurdity to keep my interest piqued. Every single supporting character was perfect. The overlapping coincidences in their pre-show lives was a nice touch. I haven't enjoyed a book this thoroughly in a long time. I think I've found a new must-read author to add to my list!

this was so cute!!! i loved that it was sleepless in seattle inspired, it truly gave off that 90s/early 2000s romcom vibe. i adored each & every one of the characters, especially the side characters. i was eating up the banter between lucie & aiden. although i wish there was more tension between them at certain points but that’s just cause i need all the yearning i can get.

A slow burn, kick your feet and giggle romance, first time callers is a sweet and sexy look at remembering not to settle and to be vulnerable enough to love. Great characters, fun premise and full of quippy flirting.

Two 4-5 star reads in one day? The next book I read is either going to be phenomenal or extremely disappointing. Jokes aside this book was so good. There were lines in this book where I would literally laugh and say that things like “oh my god hate him/her” but in the loving way if that makes sense? Cringy cute I guess. Either way I loved it and I will listen to any criticism at this time. It was definitely a cutesy romcom and the characters were almost too relatable. This is the first book by B K Borison I’ve read but if all of her books are like this I’ll definitely have to read more.
