I really enjoyed this one. I get that most of the characters were terrible but it was supposed to hold a mirror to society in how obsessed we are with fame. I do think the characters has a bit of depth, not tons but I understood all the main characters motivations, even if I didn't like the characters. There were parts that were predictable but definitely a few surprises at the end. I really liked it.

This was just bad. No clear plot, it seemed like there was multiple story lines that made absolutely no sense and had no real connection to each other. Adele and her shady husband with her sad kids story line made no sense in connection to this weird money scheme hide and seek game. I was zoning out listening which is never a good sign.
Too many characters to keep track of, I wasn’t invested in them or the plot.
I like the author’s pacing and writing style. It kept my attention although I did not except that this book would turn into a game show. I did like all the additional characters and storylines but did think it was a bit far-fetched that the son would be able to rescue his mom via random friend who lives on the island?
Anyway, I like Lisa Unger books in general and enjoyed the voice actor for the audiobook!
