Not the best retelling I've ever read. In fact this is just more of a telling of the original myth. Because the author didn't really put a creative spin on it, I didn't enjoy it as I did with other retellings. If you don't know the original story of medusa this could be a good introduction.

I wanted more focus on medusa and more of a feminist take but unfortunately there were only glimmers of what could have been in this text.

It was a quick read, a nice book to get out of a slump. I enjoy retellings, and different perspectives, so this really did give a glimpse of Medusa's background and what kind of human she is/was. It really did play into the idea of all mortals being pawns for the God's desires
