I liked the story, it was fun and quirky. It felt silly, but amusing. I loved the beginning, when the case latch kept coming open. It made me feel the same wonder as Harry Potter in a few parts similar to that one. The characters were fun but they felt clumsy in all their actions - losing the beasts in the first place, how they would find them, how often mistakes happened. Newt, Jacob, and Tina all felt like Neville Longbottom types, which I guess makes sense since they were supposed to be kind of "misfits". Queenie felt like Luna Lovegood. I'm curious to see the movie now and compare what I felt the characters are like to how the movie portrays them. I wasn't a fan that the Americans called the Muggles No-Majs, that's not near as fun of a name!

It thrills me in all the best ways. I'm left wanting more in the same way the HP books did. I think Rowling has improved her character writing even. I dunno. I just love it so much.

One of the prettiest books I’ve seen & some A+ nostalgia. points subtracted because JKR says what she says on the twitter :(
While I really enjoyed this, I don't feel I can give it more than 3 stars as it's a screen play...

Čo si dnes robil, Jacob? Bol som v kufri.
Film som už videla niekoľko ráz, takže scenár samotný ma toľko neprekvapil. Grafické spracovanie sa podarilo, oceňujem veľmi zlatého ňucháča pod prebalom knihy :)
Pôvodne som plánovala 3*, keďže samozrejme nebolo to nič nové pod slnkom, ale niektoré scény a hlášky si jednoducho vyslúžili 4*.
Musím povedať, že napriek tomu, že som si myslela, že príbeh poznám pomerne dobre, niektoré veci mi stále vo filme unikli a takto na papieri dávali oveľa väčší zmysel. Aj vzťahy postáv mi tu prišli uveriteľnejšie ako vo filme. Kto vie prečo.
