“It goes on, he thought. The internecine hate. Perhaps the seeds are there, in that. They will eat one another at last, and leave the rest of us here and there in the world, still alive. Still enough of us once more to build and hope and make a few simple plans.”

An incredible book and my new favorite PKD. The beginning is very scattershot, but the ending just has hit after hit of cosmic punches. I said "wow" aloud during the Childan section near the end. This is also PKD sprituality at its best too, i think.

I was excited for this book because I really liked the Amazon Prime show, but this book was not fun to read. It was slow and I didn't really care about the characters or what they were doing. Maybe I just didn't appreciate the politics or the subtleties

Really cool concept
4.5
