Trial of the Sun Queen

Devoured this one in a day. Could not put it down because:
  • Lor the main character is feral and fabulous
  • The storyline is addicting and captures your attention immediately
  • Connected with the writing.

No break for me. Need to be reading Book 2 now.

The narrators, specifically the male narrator

Overall the book wasn’t catching my interest, but then I got to the first guy narrator and it was an instant dnf, completely ripped me from the story

Writing was juvenile. Gave hunger games/selection/TOG vibes without the strong plot. The FMC is a pick me and only resolves issues with beating people up etc. Characters lacked depth/believability. Overall plot was predictable.
