This was so good! It was definitely a grown up version of The Selection. It was fast paced and I loved Lor from the very beginning.

This is "easy" to read but definitely enjoyable.  I have seen a lot of people compare this to ACOTAR, and I do see why that comparison is made. I saw the plot twists coming but, that didn't take away from my enjoyment. It isn't a big heavy world or magic system to learn so it was easy to dive in. Looking forward to book 2.

The main character bothered me and the entire cat mouse of “what’s going on I need answers” and “there’s no time, answers later” is not my trope. Read a spoiler for book 1 and I was not impressed with the themes the book explores.

A true romantasy, I would liken it to ACOTAR. I could see a lot of the twists coming but still very much enjoyed the ride. The characters are lovable and the plot itself is intriguing enough for me to continue, I actually jumped right into book 2! I have thoughts/theories that have already come true and some I would put money on as I begin book 2. Easy reading and enjoyable to be a part of this bright world.
