was going to give this a 4.5 but after finishing it and reading how nicely the book ties up everything while presenting its case i'm closer to a 5. going to let it marinate for a bit before settling on that score but i already gave the anime a perfect score so it's not outside the realm of possibility.

I’m usually into time travel and parallel universe stories, but the protagonist annoyed me so much that I couldn’t continue.

I wanted to love this book, and I don’t, but I do like it. The writing is sweet and funny and the storyline (which gets repeated and changed 4 times) is entertaining. The problem I had was with the amount of repetition and how much of the book that took up. I found myself confused, and then bored by the narrative tools the author chose to create the feeling of the multiverse. This being said, the final 45 pages were very satisfying. The moral of the story was stated a bit obviously and a bit late, but it main sense due to the bull headedness of the main character. This story was sweet but didn’t change my world.
Simply awful. Repetetive, badly written and, worst of all, boring. A Sliding Door story executed badly.
