What a fun book! As unlikely as the premise is, the characters more than make up for it. Katie is sweet and naive, yet she's got a backbone of steel and never backs down from a challenge. She's more than a match for Jorlan, whose arrogance and domineering attitude would destroy a weaker heroine. I loved their instant chemistry and their non-stop banter. A light, breezy read, THE STONE PRINCE is a fabulous introduction to Gena Showalter's work. I'll definitely be buying more of her books!
Good concept, terrible book.
I picked up this book on a whim, deffinitly thought it was going to be very different than it was. I really was not interested in reading a sex scene that lasted an entire chapter. All the characters in this were really predictable and obnoxious too, at least if I have some lovable characters I can over look most of the stuff about a book that I don't particuarly enjoy. Oh and throw some aliens in there...what?! I was not expecting this story to suddenly go sci-fi mixed with romance.
But it did have a happy ending so I guess that's something.
These are one of those quick read throw away books that are trying to be romance novels that woman in their 50's start reading for some reason.
I have nothing against fun books but atleast put some intelligence into it.
Not my kind of book.

Loved to reread this book, and it's linked to Jewel of Atlantis because Katie and Gray are siblings! Loved it! Especially the end, that women have to learn to resist the urge to kill all the men around them for being male, basically!

Oh, great, fantastic book. though I disagree with his views on women, and yeah, just a hilarious Gena Showalter book!

Loved reading this book, as it's been updated, I really enjoyed this story again!
I love Gena Showalter’s books and it was fun reading her very first one. You could see that she had a talent to conjuring up hot, sweet heroes from the very start.
The Prince of Stone was fun to read. I enjoyed it.

Hahahahahahaha What? She falls in love with a statue.. but it's not really a statue - it's a MAN. Under a CURSE. AND HE'S AN ALIEN. Brilliant. There are no words.
Despite this truly ridiculous story, this was pretty darn cute. Not Gena Showalter's best, by any means. But cute.

DNF'd. I really wasn't into the whole 'misogynistic love interest that I need to educate but don't actually because he's so sexy and it would take too much of the plot'. I was just looking for a fun romp and this was not that.
I've enjoyed other stories by this author but this was definitely not one of them. I researched and found out that this was her first published story. Reviewed by others, I can only tell you why I didn't care for THE STONE PRINCE: Katie and Jorlan were shallow and confusing. The story made very little sense though I thought the idea was a novel one.
With very little chemistry between any of the characters I think there are much better books to read than spending your time with this one. Though others enjoyed THE STONE PRINCE, it just wasn't my type of romance so I can't recommend it.
