Realizing how good and entertaining books and series can be that are set away at a school or some specific place, and the Gallagher girls are definitely intriguing, especially with the eccentric professors (I'm such a fan of Joe Solomon so far, oh man). I enjoyed how much deeper into the curriculum this one one brings the Cove Ops girls, and the introduction of new characters. Zach was intriguing and frustration and I felt for Cammie and her awkwardness, lol.

Es un buen libro que te mantiene en la intriga suficiente para matar las horas.

Now I know why a lot of readers like this series because it keeps on getting better. When I thought I knew what will happen but then I don’t any more. The new characters brought a new side to the story and the level of suspense is more intense.
I'm not sure why the Gallagher Girls never considered the fact that there may be a boys school similar to theirs, but they soon discover its existence when 15 of its students arrive at their school. The boys spend the semester taking classes at the Gallagher Academy as part of an exchange program. The board thought that it would benefit both the boys and girls if they could learn to communicate and work together.
This is when we meet Zach. He is cute, charming, and definitely up to something. When a security breach takes place at the Gallagher Academy, Cammie and her friends take it upon themselves to complete a thorough investigation. Of course, their first suspects are the new arrivals...aka...the boys.
This is a fast paced and absolutely adorable story. It is even better than the first book in the series.

Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy is an easy and quick read. There is zero depth to the story. A couple of times the death of a parent came up and I just knew this was when the book would gain some layers but it just skimmed over it. I would recommend the book as a light hearted read in between reading books that are tougher to get through.
The way that I, a 26 year old, stayed up into the middle of the night literally giggling and kicking my feet and rolling around my bed to finish this book is a testament to how incredible it is.
I read this way back in middle school and would get flashbacks of some iconic scenes over the next 15 years. I found it in a Little Free Library recently and couldn't help but reread it. Throughout this book, I went from "I'll reread this series and then put it back in another Little Free Library for other girls to enjoy" to "I'm keeping these forever and will be rereading them into my 80s."
There's just something about spy girls and spy boys going to a spy school together with incredible banter and academic rivals to lovers that can't be outdone. The whole cast of characters are all 10/10. I actually laughed or giggled out loud almost every chapter. This book honestly healed a large part of my soul, and I'm ravenous for more.
