A sad, raw, beautiful poem of a book.

this book was beautifully and poetically written. it highlights the importance of resilience and the struggles and stories of living in the wake of colonialism and trauma.

Audiobook. Raw real lean
tense slow-paced

Immersed myself in this book from start to finish in between my classes today and wowowowow. Read this book (if you’d like to). Be somewhat cautious going into it, but read it (again, if you’d like to). It feels like such an important read, filled with truth and perspective. I’m not going to say much else because I’m still processing it but wow. This is one of those books that so wholly deserves to be the best seller that it is

TW: eating disorders, self-harm, psych wards, generational trauma, mentions of abuse, sexual assault

I wasn't crazy about this one. The writing style was unique and I appreciate that part even if I didn't care for it. I'm also not a fan of second person narration and this was a lot of that. So much pain and trauma and suffering in this. I'm glad it was short.
