Very raw and intense book about mental illness. Would recommend to read it but when you’re feeling relatively stable.

The beginning felt slow, but once you get about 2/3 in, it was worth it. It was a vulnerable take on mental health issues impacting relationships, something I haven’t found in many books I’ve read. A reflective read that was at times triggering, but in a way that wasn’t overwhelming.

IT IS SO EXHAUSTING AND LONELY AND NO ONE CAN FEEL IT FOR YOU OR UNDERSTAND EVEN IF THEY WANT TO. WHICH THEY GENUINELY MIGHT AT FIRST BUT EVERYTHING GETS OLD.

the joy of this book is that it gets old but they’re there anyway. and she’s loved. like really loved. and has a lover and a family home that is shitty but a home. god.
