I cannot believe this was the authors debut novel. This was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, and yet it was also so so funny and sweet. Would highly recommend.

what a truthfully aggravating book. let me be clear, for a large chunk of it i was enjoying it, planning on a good ol’ “it was fine,” 3/5 score.
the entire first half i didn’t enjoy much at all, besides the character of raymond and his mother. i found eleanor to be a poorly painted picture of an autistic woman, and altogether unlikable.
towards the middle and close to the end, things were looking up. i had new respect for eleanor and hope for her life. and then, the last few pages brought me right back to how i’d originally felt. disappointed. gail honey man i trust you are quite talented, but this just wasn’t for me at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Eleanor got on my nerves at time but I honestly think that’s because we’re too similar lol
I did predict half of the twist so it wasn’t a huge surprise. I did think it was written very well.
The ending felt a bit abrupt though.

Beautifully written, it feels like it has a new beginnings type of ending rather than a happy ending, which is great. I loved it.

I remember adding this book to my TBR after searching for a novel that matches the song “I Have Questions” by Camila Cabello. Now that I’ve finished reading it, I can confirm that it suits the song perfectly.
