I did find the plot good but it was a mess and I am left with questions. The love story between Syn and Ryder was cute but it also kinda pissed me off a few times.

I must admit that the storyline was decent and that's the only reason why I didn't give this book one star. But everything else about it was ridiculous! Ugh!
Let me start with the "love interest" of the heroin, the Dark Prince. Basically the guy was a total moron and a completely uninteresting person. The only word he had in his vocabulary was "fuck" and "fucking". I mean this man couldn't come up with something smart to say even if his life depended on it! He was also lacking any kind of emotion besides being horny all the freakin' time!
Now let's talk about Syn, the main character...
She was dumb as dirt and tried too hard to be funny and witty but failed miserably. She was constantly making stupid decisions and then she tried to justify them by coming up with even more moronic excuses. And there were countless scenes were the Dark Prince tried to rape her, he constantly threatened her life and all in all treated her like shit but never mind. It's totally ok because he is hot.

It was fun and interesting just not sure in want to keep going in series
I'm torn on this one. The story line was solid but I don't really like the MFC and the mind/ lust control was pretty rape-y. Got better near the end and I do want to see what happens.

The opening captured me then went really weird and I was not sure I was going to like it. The writing was not great so it didn’t help and really thought was going to be a DNF, then…. About 150 pages or so in I’d say, Hutchins hooks the storyline and I was COMPLETELY addicted!!!! I honestly did not care that the writing didn’t improve because I was completely hooked and couldn’t get enough!!! Couldn’t tell you exactly what it was either but whoa I couldn’t get over how she did that in her storytelling. Would highly recommend either reading Hutchins Legacy of the Nine Realms to get an idea if you like her writing style and if you do you will absolutely fall for this one!!! Definitely will follow the recommended reading order as well.
