I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. It was good, but the first two were better.
Finally a third book in a trilogy that didn't suck! :) I really enjoyed this book although not as much as I liked book #2. The only thing that really bugged me about this one was how after two books Carrie and Janie suddenly spoke to each other in a totally different way using phrases that they hadn't used in the other books. It was almost like McMann found a few new catch phrases and thought she'd throw them in to seem “cool” but they really didn't work at all and were more annoying than anything else.
In all, this is a great series. I read the first two books in one night and the third book the next night. Super fast reads and yet they didn’t feel rushed at all which is truly an art. Yeah, yeah the series has adult language but so do most teenagers so I found it to be pretty realistic. I’ve seen a lot of people bitching about how they wouldn’t let a teenager read this because of the language and the situations but I think for older teens it would be fine. Younger teens might struggle with the series but then again so many kids have lived through much worse so this wouldn’t even be a blip on their radar. I give kudos for McMann for writing a series that felt like it was based in reality (well except for the paranormal stuff LOL) instead of a fluffy YA book series that doesn’t feel real at all. Plus she’s from Michigan so she rocks. :)

Meh. That pretty much sums up this whole trilogy. Nothing even really happens in this book. At least she is using her ability again in a meaningful way, but only just barely. And as much as I already didn't like the relationship central to these books, it's just terrible in this one. Overall, I would not recommend these books. Interesting concept, failed execution.
I was a little worried when I read the summary of the book because I can not handle another stupid book based on the idea of suffering with out my love for some self made season (like the second Twilight). I was presently surprised. McMann keeps getting better with her writing or maybe I an just used to her style now. Each book go the series has gotten progressively better which is good because I hated the first one. I like that she didn't wrap it up all neatly with some magic fix. I also liked how through out the series Janie seems so grow as a person. The Morton's Fork idea was well played out. The pacing was good. The series wraps up nicely but could also have room for more books. I am glad I didn't give up after the first book.
Before I begin, I must say thank you to James the Book Chic for hosting the ARC tour!
So the book! This was a really good conclusion to the series. This book was much more introspective on Janie’s part. I kind of missed the mysteries from the first two books, but I really liked weighing the options that lay before Janie along with her. Without being spoilery, there was a big storyline that I didn’t expect, but I really liked the way it worked out. Sort of. This book made me cry a couple times and made me think, which I really like in a book. I will kind of miss this series – I really enjoyed all three books!

In the third book of the trilogy, Janie has graduated from high school and should be having a wonderful summer with boyfriend Cabel. But she's agonizing over a choice: to stay with him means eventually she'll be blind and crippled, and she doesn't want to do that to him. But how can she leave him and isolate herself from any people at all? Then her father shows up, in a coma, and as she learns more about him and how dreamcatching has affected him, her choice gets even harder.
I liked this installment the least of the three, but it was a good ending to the story.

I have no real feelings for this book. It was short, I read it while waiting for my Honda at the dealership- so thanks for that, I guess. But. There was essentially nothing to this book. I feel like McMann could have done something more with Henry, went in a different direction and made this book have more zing. As it is though, it just feels like filler, but I'm not even sure what it's supposed to be filler for except just the final book, which just makes it suck more.
Final book of Wake Trilogy. Not nearly as good as the other two books. There is not much of a mystery (plot) going on. It is mostly about feelings towards boyfriend, mother and father.
