The characters were complicated and at times I didn’t agree with the things that they were doing but in an odd way I understood where they were coming from. Loved Rika and Michael lots because in some ways I related to them.

For so long I felt that I didn’t fit in and recently I said fuck it, I’m going to be and do what I want. I decided that I wasn’t going to be who people wanted me to be any longer and this book does this very well by the end and I think that’s why I love it more.

This just isn’t my cup of tea, but I think it’s generally well-written. I hope it continues to find the right audience (which isn’t me😂).
When I say it isn’t my cup of tea, I mean Damon isn’t my cup of tea. I don’t really know how he’s going to be redeemed. I know he is because he has a book, but I don’t see any world where I believe that Rika would be okay with having him in her life again, let alone being close to him. Also, Michael says he loves her and all is well? I just feel like he and the other Horsemen got let off real easy for doing all that stuff to her when she didn’t even do anything. I like kinky, but I don’t like bullies.

I found this book to be a quick and enjoyable read. However, I wished there was more exploration of Trevor's possessive behavior towards Rika in the present timeline, as it felt somewhat underdeveloped. On the other hand, I appreciated the internal conflict that Michael grappled with regarding the safety of Rika in the face of danger from other characters.

While Rika is portrayed as a strong and resilient female protagonist, I felt that her character fell somewhat short of expectations, particularly in moments where she displayed vulnerability and came close to tears.

I have to admit it took me some time to really get into reading this, but I really enjoyed it.

I love Michael and Rika’s dynamic.

There were times that I was annoyed with Rika’s decisions just because the girl has been obsessed with Michael since forever BUT she is not a weak FMC.

She is a fighter and I absolutely love her for it.

The epilogue alone made me want to rate it 5 stars just because of the last line, but I’ll be sticking with my rating.

I love the Four Horsemen and laughed at them becoming cute idiots at one point.

All in all I really liked this, there were points where it was getting iffy with the age gap in flashbacks and the amount of times this poor girl got groped… my god.

In the end like I said the girl is a fighter, “damsel in distress” is not in her vocabulary.

First of all, I know there's red flags everywhere, but IM ON MY KNEES for these guys.

Okay, I love Kai. I think he's gonna become my favourite. Micheal is toxic af and does some things that make me want to hug him and punch him in the face. Damon, yeah, I hate him, evil guy. Will im indifferent about him? idk I don't think I saw as much of him in this book, so probably more in the next books.

But all in all, it's a great book, and I actually shed a tear in the epilogue. idk why, but my emotions were all over the place through this book.

Interesting plot and will continue to read the next books :)
