I love a book where the best friends are in love and they don't tell each other the entire time! Such a cute read where her best guy friend, Carter, teaches her "girlfriend lessons" on how to be treated after a nasty divorce.
He also calls her "sunshine" and I love it :')

I absolutely love a well written friends to lovers story. Lauren has hands down written an absolutely fun, sexy & all around feel good best friends to even better friends

After the collapse of her marriage, Rachel Dumont has moved back to San Francisco to jump-start her life, which includes opening a second store in her hometown. She hopes that the new venture in her old stomping grounds, surrounded by friends and family will be help her move on from her failed relationship.
Carter Hendrix is a successful NFL player and one of Rachel’s closest friends. When he finds himself in a jam with one of his sponsors, he’ll recruit her help to fulfill her contract by going on a date that might change their relationship forever.
This is another great love story by Ms. Blakely, filled with feelings and quirky characters. One of my favorite things about it is the fact that she chose to explore the life of a successful athlete with a very challenging issue that’s often taken as “make believe” when it’s a struggle for a lot of people. Also Rachel’s fight to find her footing after the disappointment of her previous marriage and the fact that she allows Carter to guide her out of her funk while helping her find her happy place.
A nice backdrop world with great supporting characters and a book full of fun, love and sexy times makes it another hit under the author’s belt.

Carter and Rachel

This story was very good. Both characters had issues and both had insecurities that they were dealing with. I really liked how it had a more positive feel.

5 stars! Everything you want in romance!
I listened to the audiobook, and if you can, you should too! The narrators are fantastic and enhance the story with their voices <3

i’m a sucker for a best friends romance

I loved Carter and Rachel’s story! I’ve always been a sucker for best friends romance. These two were absolutely adorable and full of romance. There is a reason why Lauren Blakely is one of my go to authors and it’s because she writes stories like this that are filled with swoony times and schmexy times.
