Absolutely fascinating. I devoured this book in a weekend and will probably now dive into a Lizzie Borden shaped internet hole! Reading this book made me realize how little I actually new about the popular legend of Lizzie Borden. I can't wait to recommend this book to my readers!
An interesting look into a case I had only heard rhymes about. Insight into how media influences cases and those impressions not only impact the trial but impact the rest of the individual's life even if they are found not guilty. Would recommend to teens who are interested in true crime, especially with the popularity of Serial and Making a Murderer. Since the murders were so gruesome, I would use discretion when recommending this. Overall, an intriguing account of the infamous case.
Good choice for kids in grades 6+ who are interested in true crime. Be aware that there are some somewhat graphic descriptions of the murder and victim's injuries.
A nice & detailed but still concise read about the Borden case :3 great info but still an easy read
This is a very well researched book with lots of documentation that is written in a very readable way.
I didn’t really know much about the Lizzie Borden case other than the bare minimum before reading this and it was extremely interesting. Still frustrating that there is no clear answer to who committed the murders but I like that the book is very factual and leaves it up to the reader as to whether or not they agree with the not guilty verdict that Lizzie received.
Recommend: 12 and up due to the graphic nature of the murders. While the book isn’t overly graphic, it does describe what happened and there is no way around the gravity of the situation.

I liked it. Sarah Miller did an excellent job of winding historical facts from policemen's notes, newspapers, and hard evidence and made it easy to read. It was well done. Recommend.

True crime for teens. The research seems excellent quality.
The writing didn't grab me, I ended up skimming large pieces rather than totally giving it up. I think this is either for teens with a particular interest in this murder or for doing projects.

Call me naive or whatever, but it’ll take a time machine or God Himself telling me at the gates of heaven to make me suspect Lizzie Borden.
