Ah, found family, lies, betrayals, tangled plots and plotting and a little banter - this was a fun read. Multiple POVs were handled well, especially for a debut. I appreciate that everyone had secrets and deeper motives - it made the end even more surprising and satisfying. I turned to book two immediately. :)

I know I am old and curmudgeonly... but I just don't want to read an adult fantasy book which is just 20 year olds looking longingly at each others muscular arms for hundreds of pages. That being said, it wasn't the worst book I've read this year, but I won't be continuing the series... definitely not my thing.

Wow. WOW. This book was so good. If you like Dungeons and Dragons, found family, betrayal and a touch of fantasy, then this is for you! I really can’t wait for the next book front this author.
