Right off the bat, all the characters are so loveable. Lane is a relatable anxious girlie and Matt is the most thoughtful (anti-alpha) cinnamon roll book boyfriend. This book just hit me right in all the soft heart spots.

Cried my way through the 2nd half of the book. Throw in some letters and I’m a goner.

giggling & kicking my feet AND crying?? ms. hannah can do it all (in a friends to lovers) ((justice for friends to lovers))

I have come to the realisation that I just love anything written by Hannah Bonam-Young! Her books are written so well!

I enjoyed the story of this book and how it dealt with grief and anxiety!

I think I preferred the first book in this duology (Next of Kin) purely for the storyline, however I enjoyed this book and would recommend reading it

3.5! liked it and probs would reread it but i was personally all over the place which i think effected my experience reading this.

it otherwise had hannah bonam-young's signature humor and emotion. characters were very lovable and dialogue was perfect!! not my fave of hers but definitely is worth a read in this little universe she's created!

The first one was better to me and I loved the characters and the relationship more than this one however they were cute or whatever tho I think 100% the mmc was contributing way more to this relationship then the fmc
