DID NOT FINISH: 2%

Didn’t vibe with the narrator.

Although this wasn't my favorite by the author, I still love the way she writes romance. Very Abby Jimenez style with a lot of heart and tough stuff that lead to great character development and really make you care about the romance.

I really enjoy Hannah Bonam-Young's writing style.  I can handle single POV when she is the one writing it.
I also really enjoyed the anxiety representation in this story.
What I don't get is the FMC waiting so long to get into therapy. How was this not recommended to her ages ago by either family or friends? She didn't seem to have anything against it...just hadn't done it yet which seemed strange considering her circumstances.
I also wasn't a huge fan of
the infirtility bomb dropped in the epilogue. I'm glad they're going to work through it but it just seemed like a huge thing that was randomly tracked into the end of a pretty emotional my heavy book.

Overall, I enjoyed myself but this was a like not a love.

Manamea… when the meaning was added to the book Matt started being head to head with Bo for my favourite Hannah Bonam-Young MMC. Now I love him more than Bo.

Matt is the perfect cinnamon roll Malle who understands all the love languages. He’s a man who is in tune with his emotions and so thoughtful of others.

Lane needs healing and she receives it. It’s not an easy journey but her character growth is hard and beautiful to listen to/read about.

I would have loved a Matt chapter or two but the book was still perfect without it.

I listened to the audiobook and I felt all the feelings. I loved all the feelings too.

Started the book right after Next of Kin, which I really liked, but I stopped after 5 chapters as I wasn't as much into it. I waited and decided to give it another shot and loved it! I think Lane bothered me at the start but as we get to know her and her anxieties, they reminded me a lot of my own and I became personally invested. This book had me tear up on 4 occasions, it was beautifully healing

Besides wanting to live in a bus…I am Lane. This book made me cry not only at the sad parts but the happy too. How lucky am I to have found my Matteus
