This was a cute Christmas story with lots of cats along for the ride.
One thing I noticed pretty early on is that Fibromyalgia is a huge part of this story. I have MS so I love when invisible illnesses are brought to attention and knowing that ms impacts me every day I can see why it is mentioned so much but I still thought it was a little too much. It was like the book was about fibromyalgia, cats, love story , in that order and that frequency.
The fmc did seem very moany as well so I wasn't sure how I felt about her.
As I said the book was good but I read to escape life (and chronic illness) but that was very much at the forefront of this book.

More of a fun facts about fibromyalgia book than anything remotely festivw
I give this story 4.5 stars but rounded up to 5. I loved this story although it was different than what I thought it was going to be about.
Life throws so many curves at Tabby that she doesn't know if she can get the Cat Cafe off the ground. So many things happen not to mention some health problems. Tabby has always wanted a Cat Cafe and now that it is happening, she is happy and scared. Not to mention her health issue.
The writing is wonderful, and it flowed nicely. I truly loved the story but at times it felt like there was way too much information about Fibromyalgia. Don't get me wrong the character suffered from it but it just felt pushed on the reader. So much information on the symptoms and such that it took something from the story. I found the fibro sections too narrative.
I went through a lot of emotions while reading Christmas at the Cat Cafe....it was a rollercoaster. I loved how the author described all the cats and their personalities...it made them more come alive with their antics. Some of the aspects of the cafe I don't think would go over big like being charged to sit at a table. I know I wouldn't go to a cafe if you had to pay to sit there and purchase food/drink. But then again it is a story and one that I did love.
I recommend if you love cats and want to learn about the different aspects of Fibromyalgia.

Cats, a cosy cafe and a chronic illness rep bundled into one epically heartwarming festive read?! I couldn’t read this book fast enough. Seriously, felt like all my Christmases came at once with this book.
It instantly appealed and I found it so easy to get into it. I empathised with our MC Tabby so much and really admired her for starting her dream to own a cat cafe with a life limiting illness such as Fibromyalgia. It was a great read watching her navigate her illness and several bumps in her life as well as the stresses of starting a new business. I have lupus, so to read a character and experience some of my own struggles through her too was so lovely and I’m so glad the author took the time not only to shed some light on life with an illness, but to do it justice too. I wish there were more books like this!
It was such a lovely story and as a cat lover, I loved getting to know all the cats too. Plus the dramas and super addicting story, meant I finished the book in no time.
I neeeed (emphasise need) to go back and read more of the books in this series. All the ones I’ve read so far have been brilliant and I’m so excited to launch into the others now.
