Since this framing narrative is only referred to in a prologue, epilogue and the end of the first story, it seemed a bit pointless to me. But the stories were enjoyable, if a bit dated in some respects, not just socially but also in the expected technology.

i LOVED these stories. i particularly liked the veldt, the rocket man, the fox & the forest, the concrete mixer, zero hour,& the rocket. all of them really but so good. emotional, scary, suspenseful and hitting a little too close to home in some ways
