Really loved this book by the end but I did find it slow to get into. By the end I was so intrigued about what was happening. Twists I couldn't predict and the concepts were fascinating. Really looking forward to where this book is going

This was an interesting book, i found it quite hard to follow at times especially at the start. It was a strong vibes books which isn't necessarily my favourite and the magic system was hard to place. The charcaters definitely felt like they should be like 18 not fully grown. The dark academia vibes are strong, but it's really not my favourite book and I'll only listen to the 2nd one as it's on borrow box. A well written book but not my favourite charcaters nor switching povs so often. It was fine just not something id overly recommend

Very odd book. I loved it

I really enjoyed the premise, even if it lacked description in so many areas! I had to re read parts, as I wondered if I had skimmed over explanation/description, but no, it just didn't exist. My imagination filled in the (MANY) gaps. I wonder if the lack of description is because they were trying too hard with each character's POV, when in reality, nothing was added to the story by switching POV?
High star rating because of the concept, and my imagination filling in the blanks.

"he said, in English so falsely aristocratic he might as well have fucked the queen" is unironically my favourite line from this.
