I have read better executions of the “pretentious college students get up to various shenanigans under the tutelage of an enigmatic professor” genre but never with magic and a threesome so there’s that!
Easy to read but unfortunately also easy to skip read. Skipped over a lot of the magical discussions.
Characters were all pretty intolerable.
Found it very predictable aswell. No surprise that they would have to kill the sixth person but also obvious that it wasn’t going to actually happen.

This was one of my first ~serious~ reads as I got back into reading this year, I started to find my love for reading for fun again in 2021, and most of the books I've read have been light-hearted romance novels. However, I was intrigued by The Atlas Six, taking about 3-4 months to actually start reading it. I loved the variety of characters and learning about their backstories, as well as how the world came together. Seeing the characters work together and grow was one of my favorite parts. I will say that I wish Reina had more chapters, I would have loved to see her powers more in-depth but I hope that the next books showcase that!

This was a much anticipated read and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was greatly disappointed.
So much happened and nothing happened.
The characters all felt flat. The only character I found slightly likable was Libby. There were too many characters and too many side plots that really didn’t mean much of anything in the end.
Tristan having 3 love interests… but none of them were developed very well, and two of them also having other love interests… and then he kind of chooses one with no discussion or fall out, but at the same time also not choosing one…
I was also hoping we were starting out strong with an enemies to lovers situation. It ended up seeming like more of an enemies to friends situation. Then, one of them is big sad at the end making me think hmm maybe enemies to lovers isn’t off the table for the next book. BUT all the characters and relationships are so convoluted who even knows. They could all be in one big relationship in the next book.
Who turns out to be the bad guy in the end, was not very expected and certainly not built toward except for in the very vaguest sense.
Everything was there, but it’s like all the ingredients were poured in and just left to sit there on the counter.

a lot of beautiful writing to give the reader that little content—did I still eat it up? you bet I did. there were really not many things happening, but somehow, a lot has happened, too. idk how to explain it.
I’m confused, overwhelmed, and in love with the characters. watch me read the sequel asap because i need to know what’s happening next
