Ophelia had one. She kissed his scars, first the one cutting through his eyebrow, then the one cutting into his cheek, and finally the one cutting across his temple. With each contact, Thorn’s eyes widened. His muscles, conversely, tightened.
“Fifty-six.” He cleared his throat to make his voice less hoarse. Ophelia had never seen him so intimidated, despite his efforts not to show it. “That’s the number of my scars.”
She closed and then reopened her eyes. She felt it again, even more violently, this urgent call from deep inside her. “Show them to me.”
Ophelia waited 2 years and 7 months, she was horny and ready. Lol I fucking love her.
Okay, keep in mind it’s a slow plot and LITTLE TO NO romance but surprisingly I enjoyed it very much. I did wish there were more scenes with Ophelia and Thorn because I love the scenes with them two. Even if it’s them fighting or dismissing each other but very entertaining.
(I would do anything to have a POV from Thorn omg)
Basically it’s the same drama Justin a different ark which I ain’t mad about, we get to meet new people and also a new POV. Victoria. Ophelia goddaughter who doesn’t talk or can walk but she does ‘journey’ outside of her body which is how she explores.
Their so close yet so far from the end that imma need to read the last book right NOW..
Also Fox better be okay. I swear I think I would cry if anything happened to him.. aahhhhh

Although not my favorite of the series (out of the 3 that have been translated), I loved watching Ophelia continue to grow into her own self, and find more of her past. Something I didn't necessarily love was the rest of the Babel characters, as I feel like they weren't as fleshed out as some of the side characters in the second story. I couldn't wait for a certain character to arrive, and I feel like it paid off having to wait that long in the story! I'm super excited for the final book, and hope our characters get the ending they deserve.
4,5 actually! The ending was amazing and I think I stopped breathing for the last 80 pages. Ofelia and Thorn are one of the greatest couples ever

Ich mochte immer noch die Welt, die Atmosphäre und die Story im Allgemeinen, aber vom dritten Band der Spiegelreisenden-Saga war ich zugegebenermaßen etwas enttäuscht. Die Handlung ging schleppend voran und ich war mir für die ersten 60-70 % der Geschichte nicht sicher, worin überhaupt die Handlung besteht. Dass Ophelia eine Ausbildung beginnt um Vorbotin zu werden, war mir relativ egal - vor allem, da mir keiner der neuen Charaktere sonderlich sympathisch war.
Zum Glück wurde alles etwas besser, als Ophelia - endlich! - auf Thorne trifft, ich habe die Interaktionen zwischen den beiden wirklich vermisst. Auch das Tempo stieg zum Ende hin an und es wurde noch einmal spannend.
Alles in allem mochte ich den dritten Band zwar, er ist für mich aber bisher der schwächste Teil der Reihe.

Since I was so disappointed the first time I read this book. (You can still read my first review if you scroll down) I decided to read it again carefully and with every brain cell I have. So maybe this will be a long review.
From page 15 to 150
It's incredible how the author is describing everything! I love how she makes me live with the characters and I remember mentioning this in one of the other books' reviews. And I LOVE how the story and the plot are developing and improving. It was just an arranged marriage in a weird world but now the characters are investigating God and some complicated stuff. The second book revealed so many secrets and details that made the story more interesting. And now the characters are in another ark. I bet you thought that you are not going to get bored but nope you will because the characters you were wishing to read about will barely show and you will just see Ophelia running around with some new characters that you don't care about. It wasn't that bad because Ophelia met weird people that gave the book a different taste.

I'm very disappointed with Thorn. What is wrong with you????!!! Everything is making me angry. But that doesn't mean that this book is bad. I swear those pages made me throw the book across the room.
Dude Thorn's attitude and actions on these pages are so frustrating!! And I can't say anything else because I will spoil the book a lot. BUT DUDDDDDEEEEEE I WISH HE WAS DEAD RATHER THAN SAYING THESE WORDS TO HER!!!!! HE WAS TREATING HER LIKE A BUSINESS PARTNER NOT A WIFE!!!! SHE'S YOUR WIFE DUDE!!!! NOT A COLLABORATION.
After those pages, I was reading the book with no emotions as if I was Ophelia. I was so depressed. Dude things are not even getting better it's just getting worse and worse and then you find fearless and his stupid mind. JUST LEAVE OPHELIA ALONE!
The last part is not bad at all. Especially Victoria's chapters added a beautiful touch to the book and the mood. Maybe since Victoria is a family spirit daughter. Those chapters are her book being written?

I'm disappointed...
Since I was so disappointed the first time I read this book. (You can still read my first review if you scroll down) I decided to read it again carefully and with every brain cell I have. So maybe this will be a long review.
From page 15 to 150

Terzo capitolo e ormai dovrei esserci abituata a come qiesta saga sia assolutamente fantastica eppure la Dobos mi riesce sempre a sorprendere. Intreccio, personaggi (vecchi e nuovi), colpi di scena, tutto perfetto, ho divorato tutto in 2 giorni senza riuscire a staccarmi.
Babel, nuovo setting della vicenda, con atmosfere alla Myazaky quasi, mi è piaciuta tantissimo, i nuovi personaggi tutti molto interessanti (in particolare Vittoria e Octavio), e Ophelia e Thorn sempre più belli e "divertenti" da leggere con le loro incomprensioni e il cronico mutismo di lui, sono una coppia fantastica devo dire.
Un unico difetto questo libro: è finito e ora mi tocca aspettare il 4 chissà quanto (o mi dovrò mettere e imparare il francese prima possibile)
