Felt like a beginning to a new duology. But not in a good way. I missed all the characters, I’d grown to love. I had to slog through Ophelia trying to fit in again. It picked up halfway through. But Babel made me miss the previous ark. This one was just so boring.
A book I couldn't put down. Once I started to read it, it felt as if the story kept happening while I wasn't reading. I love this book and can't recommend it enough

the reddit threads are correct, the first two books go together and the last two books go together, plot wise. it’s gets much more complex and takes a turn but i was still curious how it will all come together. also the relationship development was delish.

The Memory of Babel didn't grip me as much as The Missing of Clairedelune but I actually think that it did a graceful job of a handling a difficult transition. The first half of the book suffered from having to establish a brand new world with an almost entirely new band of characters but I think that Dabos did a good job of using this portion to properly set up the second half and what I'm presuming will be a satisfying conclusion to the series. I'm actually quite excited to jump into the final installment. This world has a lot of scope (thanks to this book, in particular) and a lot of potential for a grand finale.
