3.5 stars - I liked the heroine but man, the murder attempts on her got ridiculous... over and over. Plus she made some borderline TSTL moves. Despite this I found her likeable and plan to keep reading.

Fun and quick. The heroine seemed to have trouble keeping herself safe and was attacked often to move the plot along but overall I enjoyed it and will read on.
It took quite a while to get to the point of properly enjoying this book. It was confusing, the fmc was annoying, and there didn’t seem to be much plot.
I am glad I persisted, because it did get better. Sam could still stand growing up some, but there has been enough character development that I have high hopes for the next book.
I will say, the “everyone loves me and puts up with everything about me no matter what because I’m special” trope is not my favourite, and it appears a lot in this book. But it was bearable, and I was kind of able to ignore it.

This book was just what I needed. It felt like a warm hug but with someone trying to kill our main character Sam the whole time. It's good to see characters with nuance and range, you know, like people actually are. The cast of found family made my heart happy. I'm excited for the next book. I did the audio of this one and really enjoyed the narration.
Filled with the main character making stupid decisions, being an overall downer and getting her ass kicked. Constantly. I liked the side characters though.

I picked this book for a challenge and I am so glad I did. I was sucked right in to the plot right away.

Vamps, Wolves, Demons, Witches oh my. Oh and a Dragon! I freaking loved it all the characters are interesting in their own way.
Clive is hella hot and I am so glad he sees Sam for who she is. The softly she feels with him is what I was rooting for. I love that he know her strength and shows her just how strong she really is.
