Just not as good as the earlier books in the series

This book was so different from the first two in the trilogy, and not in a good way. Tatiana and Alexander are appalling! I couldn’t stand the way their relationship was going, not at all loving in my opinion. Then, out of the blue, it seemed like I was reading a whole other book! I’m so disappointed in how this ended

Finishing the series is bittersweet. I SOBBED uncontrollably for hours. I have grown to absolutely love and adore Tatiana and Alexander and saying goodbye to them felt like saying goodbye to a friend. The love that they share is one beyond words. It is beautiful, painful, heartbreaking, eternal.

WOW! I loved this story. This installment was rough but the end is totally worth all the emotional upheaval in the middle. At one point I needed hand-holding and reassurance from my friends who have been through it before (after I was talking to myself and pacing the room because I didn't want to read what I thought was going to happen next). I was told to "soldier on" (thanks, Carol) and that it is like that last push to give birth--it'll hurt but it's worth it. This is definitely one of the best series I've read and I'm sure I'll be reading it again.

Enjoyed this book, but it was definitely my least favourite out of all three. I liked that it showed the struggles that they both faced during their marriage to find their "american dream". I enjoyed that Anthony was just like his father in many ways but always stood up for his mother, and protected her with all he had. The points that I didn't enjoy was when they seemed to do some things that were very uncharacteristic.. like *spoilers* Alexander cheating on Tatiana... that just blew my mind that that was even a part of the book. I wish this book would have focused more on when Antman grew up and joined the army and the struggles with that.. it was in the last bit of the book and was most enjoyable after the beginning part of the novel ! I will definitely re-read the other two.. this one probably not!

The Bronze Horseman trilogy is just amazing and I love the story of Tatia and Alexander. This last book took me about half a year to finish but not because it was bad, the ending was really sweet and perfect - but before that it just felt like it was going on forever and it was very repetitious with the work, pregnancy and not talking issues. But besides that it is, especially the first book, an amazing historical fiction series that I want to reread at some point!

10++++ stars - YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST READ THIS TRILOGY!!!

“I love you. I'm blind for you, wild for you. Sick with you. I told you that our first night together when I asked you to marry me, I am telling you now. Everything that's happened to us, everything, is because I crossed the street for you. I worship you. You know that through and through...”

Alexander certainly has a beautiful way with words.......

This series has been the best love story I have ever read. HANDS DOWN!
description

“All grimy and sweaty, Alexander drew her to him, his palms on her back, and bending to her and tilting his head, whispered into her mouth, "Tatiasha, I know you won't believe this, but if I'm looking at the sheets when I'm making love to you, we've got a bigger problem than what damn color they are.”

The 3rd book takes you through their life in America and the obstacles they face.
I love that settle in Arizona (my home/current state).
description

Their love transcends and beats all the odds. And through it all they still love each other with everything they have and everything they are.

“Whenever you're unsure of yourself, whenever you're in doubt, ask yourself three questions. What do you believe in? What do you hope for? but most important, ask yourself, what do you love?”

“Where was he, her Alexander, of once? Was he truly gone? The Alexander of the Summer Garden, of their first Lazarevo days, of the hat in his hands, white toothed, peaceful, laughing, languid, stunning Alexander, had he been left far behind?
Well, Tatiana supposed that was only right.
For Alexander believed his Tatiana of once was gone, too. The swimming child Tatiana of the Luga, of the Neva, of the River Kama.
Perhaps on the surface they were still in their twenties, but their hearts were old.”
