Loved the book. I kinda predicted the "Simon planned his death/revenge" thing.
I would have loved the book more if we had gotten to know more about Simon, the tricks of his trade, how he actually got his hands on all those secrets.

When I started this book I was all like "I bet he killed himself" and then at the end you find out he indeed killed himself. It was definitely a page turner, but problematic. Very CW Riverdale like.
Would have been much better if they at least had one of the four actually kill him!

The Breakfast Club turns into a Murder Club. Like they actually use the words “murder club.” The characters are so flat, and then when secrets are revealed, that’s supposed to make them more interesting, but it doesn’t. Decent YA mystery, good vacation read, but not much more than that.

I'm tempted to give this book 4.5 stars... that's how much I enjoyed it!
The reviews on this one were pretty much divided, so I went into it not expecting much... and I ended up loving it! I loved the writing style and the plot, and the plot twists got me like, wait what???
I read Broken Things last year and One of us is lying reminded me of the latter, but done better. Not saying that BT was bad and it was not done as beautifully as this one.
Definitely picking up her other book and will be on the lookout for any future publications from the author.
