As someone who really enjoyed the first book, this sequel fell really flat to me. It was slow, at times boring, and more drawn out than it needed to be. I’m pretty disappointed.

Painfully slow until the end

Overall less plot than the first book and the plot that was their was less engaging since if a certain trope was removed this book would have been a quarter of the size

The plot was much better and I love how everything came together at the end, but I was kinda struggling the first half of the book because it's just so long, and there are often sentences and descriptions that are truly unnecessary. However, I do overall appreciate how descriptive everything is. I'm also very thankful for the list of characters and places, I could've not done it without them.
