This was STRESSFUL AS HELL but in the best way. Somehow even better than book 1. Continuing to call more in love with Darien after each book. Obsessed with the devils and their relationship as well.

Really struggled to finish. I LOVED the first book but really found some characters dragging down the story in this one.
I love Darien as a MMC but really dislike Loren. I cannot understand his obsession with her. She comes across as weak and useless to me. I get that she has “cool powers” and has “saved him and the city” multiple times but it’s just not hitting the mark for me and feels forced.
The banter was way better in the first book, after they become an established couple it’s more boring, sorry lol
I enjoyed Max’s POV, I really like him. Dallas is just kinda…there. Always crying about her parents who are complete trash. I expected Dallas, Loren, and Sabrine to become a badass trio so jokes on me

This series has the potential to be great! The only thing that I cannot stand is the main character Loren calla. She and Darien have no chemistry. She’s a cry baby and I was hoping she would grow some balls and grow this book and yes she did crazy things but like still crying all over the place. Also the sex scenes are so cringe I almost skipped them. I’ve never seen two main characters that have no chemistry like this.
