This was a tough one, mainly because it’s way too long. The first 400 pages could have used serious trimming due to all the repetition. That said, I am still obsessed with the worldbuilding and the rich, diverse societies Kayla Edwards has created. And Darien? Absolute top-tier book boyfriend. I just hope future books get tighter edits to match the strength of the characters and plot.
