Much better than book 1! Still long as hell but Darien's story was much better than before, we finally saw his dark side, albeit sad. Loren... girl I know you're trying to protect people but you still annoy me.
The love declarations were still entirely too cheesy AF and the battle was a little too Marvel superheroes.

I’m definitely enjoying this series. But this one was a little too long. Kept putting it down and taking longer to pick back up. But I really liked Lauren figuring out her lineage
I was thoroughly disappointed with this book. It was excessively long, and nothing particularly exciting or meaningful happened. There was hardly any character development for our female protagonist or the male protagonist.
