Lexie wasn't my most likable main character I have read. It was hard to read her inner and outer opinion of herself. I did enjoy that she worked on her self love.

This was a fun, addicting, light read, though it covers some important themes like body image, and I found it wonderfully inspiring.

Although Lexie and I have little in common, I slid easily into her shoes. She's a remarkably relatable protagonist. The side characters are delightful as well, and I enjoyed reading about Lexie's relationships and interactions with each of them.

Lexie's story in the course of this book seemed almost too easy and perfect, however, despite a few challenges and humorous hiccups.

Overall, this is an entertaining, inspiring novel, and I look forward to devouring book two!

Easy one day read. Enjoyable characters and good story line. Lex weighs 250 lbs. and is in college. Her dad died a couple of years ago and they were very simpatico, especially concerning overeating. He died, in part, because of his obesity. Her younger sister is engaged and Lex is expected to wear the typical ugly maid of honor dress in "Pepto Bismal Barbie pink. She really has no life except binging and chatting with a guy on Facebook she met 2 months ago. The story line is her wanting to lose weight so the guy will love her which isn't the right reason. In the months leading up to the wedding, she slowly finds herself and learns that she has to get healthy, not worry about the pounds, because of self-love. It's sassy, funny, serious, with a message for binge eaters. I really liked it.

This book was so right time right place in my life! 5/5 from me. I loved the characters in this, the way the story played out, the attention to detail as far as weight loss and how that changes you physically and mentally. There was a level of delicacy that was used in this book that leads me to believe that the author really understands what a weight loss journey truly effects. This book hit me in the feels and made me smile often! Highly recommend!

Shout out to @bookbub for the awesome deal! That turned me on to this read!

Bon Bons to Yoga Pants is one of those books that just makes the reader nod their head and say "yeah. Totally. I get that."

Lexie Green is relatable, she's funny, she's insecure...she's every woman.
She's also obsessed with being "hot" for a guy she's never met in person.
So, yeah...she's totally normal.

Following Lexie's journey is inspiring, tear jerking, and hilarious. Everyone (man or woman) can relate to the feeling of not measuring up, not always getting along with your family, or worrying that you can't have your dreams.

Do yourself a favor and read BBtYP. It started on Wattpad and gained traction quickly because it. is. amazing.
Grab it. Read it. Love it.
