I could not put this book down. It was an easy book to read.
This books is about the descendants of Disney’s most evil villains.
I did not expect this to be a prequel to the 2015 movie.

Boring and nonsensical. I mean, I guess for the target audience it might work but as an adult reading it... Where are all these offspring coming from? Who are the fathers when there are no princes on the island? Why are they all the same age? Was this some sort of pregnancy pact cult ala Lifetime movie? I don't understand.

AWESOMENESS ALERT!!!!!!! I loved it! If you've seen the Disney Channel movie 'Descendants', it's basically the story of what happens before it. Or, in other words, it's a very interesting and amazing book!
i mean there wasn’t much of a plot, and it was repetitive and contradictory at times, but the nostalgia was nice!

This book shows you a world where all Disney movies come together. This book is mostly about the villains, but not only the villains.
I really liked the story, but what I've understood there's a movie where this book is related to. So I suppose the writer didn't come up with the story. That's a pitty.
I have read it in Dutch and not in English, so I will judge the writing by its translation. So it could be that it isn't to totally fair, but... The writing is not particularly good. It's really simple. It's like a children's book. But it says it's young adult. And there are quite a lot of typing mistakes. But oh well, a lot of books have that... Especially new books.
What I also found disturbing was the end. That's not an end. (Is there a next book? Or is it yet to come?)
Story: 4 stars
Writing: 2 stars

Okay. So clearly it is not the most well written, thought provoking, intellectually stimulating book ever written. However, it’s fun. It’s a quick read that is a nice palette cleanser if you will and I’m happy I read it. I like the descendants film, I love me some cheesy DCOM’s and Kirsten C is in it. And I love her.
I do think it sets up the characters so much more and I loved watching the film afterwards and understanding certain aspects of why the characters are doing what they are doing.
However, at times the writing was stupid. And the whole school bit was very juvenile, I could’ve done without the whole storyline there (selfie class, really? Wtf is that?). Never the less I understand the want to have parallels to them in school in aurdon.
Final summary, if you like Disney and can get over the RIDICULOUS way in which they name their children you’ll enjoy it!
