Thinking about how Mighty Med and Dog With A Blog being canon in the descendants universe impacts the world as a whole

This was a really cute book! I really liked it!! The characters were so well developed! I liked the whole troubled child syndrome of Mal and the others! The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I noticed incorrect wording multiple times, I don't know if it's just me but I saw them. Other than that 4 out of 5 stars! Recommend completely for anyone who wants a quick, easy, and cute read.

There is nothing I love more than The Descendants movie but at times The Isle of the Lost was kind of cringe worthy to me.

This was... cute. I thought it was like the movie, but it was a prequel of sorts. I guess I didn't like that the characters felt so superficial, especially Mal. I'm still interested in reading the other books, though.

Interesting premise. A little flat on follow through.

Read this one aloud with my 8yo because she's been obsessed with the movies for years.  I was pleasantly surprised at the story line. This is a prequel of sorts to the first story, giving  you insight on how Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay became friends.

It's more robust than I anticipated from a movie novelization! My daughter loved it and we'll be picking up the second one soon.

I think my expectations were a bit too high on this. While I did enjoy the storyline and found it interesting, it came off as extremely cheesy and not very Disney.
